Help Fund the Documentary BOSTON

BOSTON is the first-ever documentary film about the Boston Marathon. Directed by award-winning marathoner/filmmaker Jon Dunham,  BOSTON tells the rich history of America's premiere race - the oldest annually run marathon in the world. The film features interviews with Champions from across the globe, rare archival material from the vaults of the Boston Athletic Association and captures the Boston Marathon's impact and legacy on the sport.
Whether you have run Boston, or you know someone who has, or you are just a fan, you can become an important part of the storied history of the Boston Marathon by bringing it to the big screen. You can even earn amazing incentives! They have a page at crowdrise.com to help fund the making of BOSTON.  You can also donate at runsignup.com who will match up to $100,000 of the donations.

Celebrate National Running Day in Cincinnati this Wednesday June 3

Every day is Running Day in the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati, but Wednesday June 3 is National Running Day. National Running Day is the opportunity to promote running as a healthy, easy, and accessible form of exercise.
I heard through the grapevine that a couple of local organizations are sponsoring runs this Wednesday June 3 to celebrate.
  • The Flying Pig is organizing a group run out of Washington Park on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for a fun, non-competitive jog around downtown and Over-the-Rhine. They will provide bibs, water and Gatorade, and a turn-by-turn course sheet for a 4.1 mile run, or you can shorten the course to your liking. Visit The Flying Pig Facebook Page for more information.
  • Bob Roncker's Running Spot will be celebrating National Running Day with a group run from all four of their stores(Newport, O'Bryonville, Loveland, and Glendale) beginning at 6:30 pm.  Visit www.runningspot.com for more information.
