Ohio and Kentucky Cross Country Invitational Results On the Web
After spending about an hour on the local newspaper website trying to get results from this past weekend's local cross country invitationals, I came across http://www.milesplit.us. They bill themselves as the nation's premier network for high school track & field and cross country. I do not know about that, but they did have results for both Ohio and Kentucky Cross Country Inviationals this past weekend. They had every invitional that I had an interest in and some local to the Greater Cincinnati area, that I did not know about. The site has a Kentucky portal and an Ohio portal so you can find out how your local high schools did or how the local runners who ran in the club's summer cross country series fared.

Brian Rohne Race Recap
About 200 runners including many current and former NKU cross country runners raided the Northern Kentucky University campus on Friday August 15 for the 15th Annual Brian Rohne 5k Run/Walk. Current NKU Cross Country Runner Drew Harris was the top male with a time of 15:05. The overall women's winner was high schooler Michelle Thomas with a time of 18:35. Congratulations to both. Go to www.cincinnatirunning.com to view complete race results.
The race is held in memory of Brian Rohne. Brian was the most valuable athlete for the Men's Cross Country team at Northern Kentucky University in 1992. He was fatally injured in January 1993 on a training run. Proceeds raised from the race go to the Brian Rohne Memorial Fund, which is used to assist future runners to pursue that dream of collegiate greatness at NKU.
A Midsummer Night's Trail Run Recap
About 60 runners braved the hills, the fallen trees, the rocks and a little bit of mud on Tuesday August 11, 2009 for A Midsummer Night's Trail Run in Mount Airy Forest. Congratulations to our overall men's winner Mischa McCormick with a time of 34:12, and the overall women's winner Linda Daigle with a time of 44:05. A big thank you goes to our volunteers Tom Glasscock, Mike Hauser, Eileen Hogan, Greg McCormick, Gina Meyers, Dave Nelson, Josie Russo, Tony Russo, Mike Smith, and Laura Wagner for helping make it a success.
