2022 4th of July Races in Greater Cincinnati


In 2022, Fourth of July falls on a Monday so there are quite a few chances to race on the Fourth of July weekend in the Greater Cincinnati Area for 2022.  It is likely that there will be one near where you live. Here are a few of them.  Visit the RCGC Calendar for a few more races.

RCGC Grand Prix June 2022 Update

 The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati is doing a Grand Prix Series in 2022. The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or races that support the club. So far about 35 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race.  Next races in the series are the FCC Race on June 18, Hyde Park Blast on June 25, Madeira Mile on July 2 and the Fairfield Avenue Mile on July 9.  Below are the top ten males and females through the Memorial Day Race. RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Returns in 2022


The second longest running contribution to the Cincinnati Area running scene is back in 2022! The  RCGC Summer Cross Country Series returns to Valley View Nature Preserve by Pattison Elementary School in Milford. There will be 3 - 2.5 mile races over starting at 7:15 pm on Thursday, July 14, 21, and ending on July 28.

CROSS COUNTRY SERIES INFORMATION

  • DATE: Every Thursday beginning July 14, 2022 until Thursday July 28.
  • TIME: 7:00 PM
  • PLACE: Valley View Nature Preserve, Milford OH next to Pattison Elementary
  • COURSE: 2.5 miles scenic run in Valley View Nature Preserve. 
  • INFORMATION: 3 -2.5 mile cross country runs every Thursday beginning on July 14 and ending on July 28. No entry fees! No awards! Just the satisfaction of a hard workout with your friends. Daniel Boone's Run For Statehood - June 18

 Daniel Boone's Run For Statehood is a low cost half marathon and 5k in Falmouth KY. It provides a great race at a great price in a nice area just outside Greater Cincinnati.  $500 Cash Purse if 100 pre-register by June 12 or 200 for race day. 2022 Memorial Day Race Shirt Available for Purchase

 


The 2022 Memorial Day Race  has a  few shirts left over from our race on Monday.  They are white technical shirts with the dogtag logo on front and a design on the back. We have Small, Medium, Large, XL and a couple 2XL. If you would like a shirt from our our virtual race, you can get them over at the  Memorial Day Race Online Registration for the price of 10.00.   They will be available for purchase through July 1. Order soon before the deadline  or we run out of the size that you want.

Memorial Day Race 46 Recap And Results

 


About 40 runners and walkers came out on Monday May 30 to England-Idlewild Park in Burlington Ky for Cincinnati's second oldest race (View photos).  Race conditions were sunny and warm.  

    Robert Coehorn of  Brandon WI was the top male with a time of 19:20.6.  Rich Webber was the second male to cross the finish line with a time of 21:46.7 and Kevin White was the third male who ran a 21:50.9.  The top female finisher and second overall was Christi-Anne Beatty of Cincinnati  who ran a 21:13.1 followed by  Kayla Hess (3rd overall) who ran a 21:36.7 and Trista Connelly who ran a 25:31.5.  Robert Platt was the top male walker with a time of 51:48 and Carla Mascari was the top female walker with a time of 45:44.6 (View Race Results)
