RCGC Grand Prix Update - October 2022

  The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati is doing a Grand Prix Series in 2022. The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or races that support the club. So far about 40 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race.  Next races in the series is the Sue Harder 5k on October 30.  Below are the top ten males and females through the Hudepohl Brewery Run 14k/7k. 2022 Halloween Races In Greater Cincinnati

 Any kid knows that October 31 is Halloween which means food and dressing up in costume.  If you can not wait that long, there are few Halloween themed races throughout the month of October to get you in the Halloween spirit.  Here are a few of them, check the club calendar for a few more.

  • Already Loved Trick or Trot 5k, Saturday October 8, 9:30 AM, Armco Park Shelter 33, Lebanon OH -   Proceeds Benefit Already Loved Foster Care Outreach. Visit the race information page for more information.
  • HJWL Run For Your Bones 5k, Saturday October 15, 9:00 am, Municipal Brew Works, Hamilton OH. We all have that giving feeling inside our bones!  Come join the first ever Hamilton Junior Women’s League 5k run.  The money raised from the event benefits charitable organizations serving women and children in the Butler County area.  So, come on out and shake your hips and rattle your bones and have a fun day!   • Ghost N Goblin 5k Run/Walk, Tuesday October 18, 6:30 PM, Nutter Center, Wright State University, Fairborn, OH  - The Ghost N Goblin 5k has been a Dayton Halloween tradition for over 30 years! Presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club, the Ghost N Goblin is expected to be the best and biggest ever! Post race party with refreshments and a D.J.   • New Richmond Pumpkin Run, Saturday October 22, 10:00 AM, Armco Park Shelter 33, Lebanon OH -   Community 5K Run/Walk along the scenic Ohio River in New Richmond, Ohio!  Followed by a Fall Family Festival at Hauserman Park. Visit the race registration page for more information.
  • Running Scared 5k, Saturday October 22, 6:00 PM, Veteran's Memorial Stadium, 1600 West Street, Reading OH - A flat 3.1 mile course through a “spooky” cemetery, ending at a fabulous Halloween Fest!  Participants are encouraged to run/walk in costumes. After the race, people are admitted to the post race party where they can listen to a hot band or have a cold beer. They can enjoy food and drinks from generous sponsors and listen to the live jammin’ band while they stay toasty warm inside or gather around the roaring fire outside.  Proceeds benefit Youth Education.  Visit www.runningscared5k.org for more information.

  • PAWS Zombie Walk & Furry 5K, Saturday October 29, 10:00 AM, Smith Park, 500 Tytus Avenue Middletown OH 45044. Calling all dog walkers/runners and halloween enthusiasts! PAWS presents the Zombie Walk & Furry 5k! This Halloween is going to the dogs! Your pups can expect all of their favorites, Treats, exercise, Toys, new pals to sniff and of course the cutest costumes!
