2021 RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Race #2 Recap

 The 2021 Summer RCGC Cross Country Series held its 2nd race at the Valley View Nature Preserve, near Pattison Elementary in Milford this past Thursday July 29. About 5 runners showed up to race in overcast and hot and humid conditions. 

Top runner was Madison Zortman  who covered the 2 loop 2.5 mile course in 23:14 followed by her father Mike Zortman who ran a 23:18. Thank you to Tom Glasscock, and Todd Hofacre for timing and course set-up and course teardown. Join us next Thursday August 5 at Pattison Elementary at 7:15 pm for the final race of the 2021 RCGC Summer Cross Country Series.

RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Returns For 2021

 The second longest running contribution to the Cincinnati Area running scene is back in 2021! The  RCGC Summer Cross Country Series returns to Valley View Nature Preserve by Pattison Elementary School in Milford. There will be 3 - 2.5 mile races over starting at 7:15 pm on Thursday, July 22, 29, and ending on August 5.

RCGC Grand Prix Back For 2021

 With the return of live racing, the Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati Grand Prix Series returns for 2021. The RCGC Grand Prix includes and recognizes many of the races that the club runs, supports, started or helped start. It includes several popular and unique races in Cincinnati that the club has supported over the years.

For 2021,  7 races  be scored which includes at least two B Races plus 5 other races.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups -  Youngsters(29&Under), Submasters (30-39), Masters(40-49), GrandMasters(50-59), Legends(60-69) and StillLookingGood(70 & over).  The 2021 will feature the 500 Club – Any member who scores over 500 points in the 2021 Grand Prix receives a commemorative award.
