RCGC Cross Country Series Race #2 For Tonight Cancelled

Race #2 of the RCGC Cross Country Series scheduled for tonight July 28 at 7:00 PM at Lower Millcrest Park is cancelled due to flooding of the course. Join us next Thursday August 4 for Race #3 at 7:00 PM at Lower Millcrest Park.

2016 RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Begins Tonight

The first race of the 2016 RCGC Urban Cross Country Series is tonight  at Lower Millcrest Park in Norwood at 7:00 PM.
The race will be a 2 mile Run over challenging terrain at Lower Millcrest Park. Wear Waffles, Trail Shoes, or short spikes. Starts by the Sherman Avenue Ballfields and finishes at the Lower Millcrest Park Shelter. No entry fees.  Just a hard workout on the 2 mile course designed by Stacy Osborne and Michael Guest.  A splendid time is guaranteed to all! • COURSE: 2 miles. There are two waterstops on the course – one at the start and one at the finish.

RCGC Heat Blister Recap and Results

35 runners decided to figure out how fast that they could run a mile this past Sunday July 17, 2016  at the  RCGC Heat Blister Mile at Summit Park in Blue Ash OH.  Conditions for the race were sunny, hot and humid to complement the race theme.
Top finisher was Jamie Ness of Winchester KY with a time of 4:57. He was followed by Kylen Clark who ran a 5:43 and Ted Remaklus who ran a 5:45. Top female was Stacy Bushman of Cincinnati OH who ran a 6:43. She was followed by Cindy Moore who ran a 6:53 and Charlotte Gould who ran a 7:47.   (View results).
 Thank you to our volunteers Julia Hess, Marty Hovey,  Stacy Osborne, and Todd Hofacre.  Without their help, the race could not have happened.  A special thank to the City of Blue Ash for allowing us to use Summit Park and the taxi runway for the race.

2016 July RCGC Grand Prix Update

Scores have been updated for the 2016 RCGC Grand Prix through the RCGC Track Mile.(View Standings) using official scoring.  Official scoring is based on your best 7 races run(either A, B, C), your best B race, and a C race.  The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on or supports. So far, about 70 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race.
 The next race in the RCGC Grand Prix will be the RCGC Heat Blister Mile on July 17.

RCGC Heat Blister Mile - this Sunday July 17

This Sunday July 17 is the RCGC Heat Blister Mile. Please join us at Summit Park in Blue Ash OH to see how fast you can run a mile in the heat. Race Day Registration and Race Number Pickup opens at 9:00 AM at the park. Race Day Cost  is $15.00 General Public,  $10 Age 21 and Under / RCGC Members.   Awards for the top overall male and top overall female plus age group awards. Race starts at 10:00 AM. See you there!

RCGC Mile Series Update - July 2016

The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati will be doing a Mile Series in 2016 as part of being around for 40 years. It will include at least 10 mile races throughout the year and the top 7 of them will be scored.   Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups based on their top seven mile races:
29 & Under, 30-39, Masters(40-49), Grand Masters(50-59) and Legends(60 & over)
