2023 Winter Wonderland Run Recap and Results

Over 80 runners competed in the rescheduled 2023 Winter Wonderland Run this past Sunday February 25 in sunny, and  warm conditions for a February Day at Fernbank Park on the (Far) West Side of Cincinnati(View photos). Runners and walkers travailed a 5k course that included wood, concrete, cobblestone asphalt, grass and dirt.  Bryan Wagner of Lawrenceurg IN was the top finisher and top male with a time of 18:21.  Top Female was Peggy Doerger of  Cincinnati OH who ran a 20:55,  (View Race Results ).

Thank you to our race day volunteers Fred Farnsley, Melissa Farnsley, Megan Fryburger, Tom Glasscock, Todd Hofacre, Marty Hovey, Brenda Meyers and Tim Shaffer.  Their patience and flexibility helped  the club put on a successful race.  See you in 2024.

Rescheduled Winter Wonderland Run This Sunday February 26

 

This Sunday  February 26,2023 is the rescheduled RCGC Winter Wonderland Run. It will be a 5k Run/Walk around the paths and trails of Fernbank Park.

Race Number Pickup will open at noon at the Riverview Shelter just inside the park. Registration is available at runsignup.com through February 26, 2023 until 12:59 pm.

• TIME: 1:00 PM. 
• PLACE: Fernbank Park, Cincinnati OH. 
• PRE-REGISTRATION: $17- General Public and $12 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under. Register online at www.cincinnatirunning.com. Ends Friday, Febraury 24, 2023.
  
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Available at runsignup.com through February 26,2023, until 12:59 pm. $22 - General Public & 17 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under 
• RACE NUMBER PICKUP: Race Numbers can be picked up on Race Day at the Riverview Shelter inside Fernbank Park beginning at Noon. 
• COURSE: 5k Course along the paths and trails of Fernbank Park. Be prepared to run on concrete, wood, asphalt, cobblestone, grass, dirt, gravel and possibly mud, and snow.  No strollers allowed on the course due to terrain.

RCGC Grand Prix Returns For 2023

  The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati Grand Prix Series returns for 2023! The RCGC Grand Prix includes and recognizes many of the races that the club and it members direct,  support, started, or helped start. It includes several popular and unique races in Cincinnati that the club and its members  have supported over the years.

For 2023,  9 races  be scored which includes at least two B Races plus 7 other races.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups -  Youngsters(29&Under), Submasters (30-39), Masters(40-49), GrandMasters(50-59), Legends(60-69) and StillLookingGood(70 & over).  The 2023 Grand Prix will feature the 700 Club – Any member who scores over 700 points in the 2023 Grand Prix receives a commemorative award. The Cost to run in the RCGC Grand Prix is an RCGC Membership.  First Race in the Series is the rescheduled Winter Wonderland Run on February 26,2023. 2022 RCGC Grand Prix Update

  Scores have been updated for the 2022 Grand Prix. Check your score to be sure that it is updated correctly.   Official results will be announced in February.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and top overall Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups based on official scoring:

Youngsters (Age 29 & Under), SubMasters (Age 30-39), Masters(Age 40-49), GrandMasters(Age 50-59), Legends(60-69), and StillLookingGood(70 & Over).
