Volunteer Opportunities - Winter 2024

   Here are some upcoming opportunities where you can help out the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati. If you can help out with any of these events, we would greatly appreciate it:

•  Winter Wonderland Run - The Winter Wonderland Run needs 10-15 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on February 11. It would take 1-2 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get a few other goodies. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know other club members. • Leap Day Race - The Leap Day Race needs 10-15 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on February 29. It would take 1-2 hours of your time. • Ongoing Openings - Currently we have few openings for keeping the club running on an ongoing basis: Treasurer, and Social Chair. Most positions take 2-3 hours a month of your time. If you can or would like to fulfill one of these positions, please send an email to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or attend the next board meeting on February 26.

Online Registration Open for 2024 Leap Day Race

 2024 is a Leap Year so it is time for the RCGC Leap Day Race - a tradition that began in 2004. It will be a 4k Run / Walk on the Lunken Bike Trail. Registration is now open.

Cost is $16.00 for RCGC Members / 21 & Under ; $20.00 for the General Public through February 28,2024. Group Discount is available(Online Only). Visit  the registration page for more information.
RACE DETAILS

• DATE: Thursday, February 29th, 2024 - Open to All.
• TIME: 6:29 PM.
• PLACE: Lunken Playfield, Cincinnati OH
• PRE-REGISTRATION: $20.00 – General Public, $16.00 RCGC Members / 21 & Under. T-shirt: $8.00. Early registration available through Wednesday February 28, 2024.  Group Pricing Available - Need to register online to qualify. 
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION: $24.00 – General Public. $20.00 - RCGC Members / 21 & Under. T-shirt: $10.00. No group discounts on race day. Opens 5:00 PM at the Spirit of '76 Shelter at Lunken Playfield.
• COURSE: 4k out and back course on the Lunken Bike Trail. 
• AWARDS: Overall awards given to the Top 4 Male Runners, Top 4 Female Runners, Top 4 Male Walkers and Top 4 Female Walkers. Awards given to the top male and female runner in the following age groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60&over. 
• OTHER: Food and drink available after the race. Visit registration page for more information.

Online Registration Open for 2024 Winter Wonderland Run

 

Online registration is open for the 2024 Winter Wonderland Run which is Sunday, February 11,2024.  Awards given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Runners. Also age group awards are given for the Top Male and Top Female in the following Age Groups: 18 & Under,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.

 Online registration available at runsignup.com through February 11, 2024 until 12:59 pm.

RACE DETAILS

• DATE: Sunday, February 11,2024
• TIME: 1:00 PM. 
• PLACE: Fernbank Park, Cincinnati OH. 
• PRE-REGISTRATION: $17- General Public and $12 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under. Register online at www.cincinnatirunning.com. Ends Thursday, February 8, 2024. 
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Available at runsignup.com through February 11,2024 until 12:59 pm. $22 - General Public & 17 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under
• RACE NUMBER PICKUP: Race Numbers can be picked up on Race Day at the Riverview Shelter inside Fernbank Park beginning at noon. 
• COURSE: 5k Course along the paths and trails of Fernbank Park. Be prepared to run on concrete, wood, asphalt, cobblestone, grass, dirt, gravel and possibly mud, and snow.  No strollers allowed on the course due to terrain.
