Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati part of 2026 Piggest Raffle Ever

 

The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati is part of the Piggest Raffle Ever with the Flying Pig Marathon for 2026. Winter Wonderland Run Shirt Available for Purchase

 The 2026 Winter Wonderland Run has a few shirts left over from the race on Sunday.  They are white long sleeve performance shirts with the club logo on front and a design on the back. We have Small, Medium, Large, and XL. If you would like a shirt from the race, you can get them over at the Winter Wonderland Registration Page for the price of 20.00 (includes free shipping).   They will be available for purchase through March 22. 2026 Winter Wonderland Run Recap And Results

About 50 runners and walkers competed in the 2026 Winter Wonderland Run this past Sunday February 22 in cold, windy conditions with a snow shower at Fernbank Park on the (Far) West Side of Cincinnati(View photos). Runners and walkers travailed a  relatively flat 5k course that included wood, concrete, cobblestone, asphalt, grass and dirt.  Matthew Garey of  Independence KY was the top finisher  and top male with a time of 22:30 followed by Christopher Wickey who ran a 22:57. Joseph Cryan was third in 22:58.  Top Female was Tiara Wright of  Dayton OH who ran a 29:40. Paula Breem-Heeger was the second female with time of 31:01 and Rebecca Hubbard was third running a 32:11. RCGC Grand Prix Returns for 2026

 The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati Grand Prix Series returns for 2026! The RCGC Grand Prix includes and recognizes many of the races that the club and it members direct, support, started, or helped start. It includes several popular and unique races in Cincinnati that the club and its members have supported over the years.

For 2026, 9 races will be scored which includes your top 7 races and plus two B Races.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups -  Youngsters(29&Under), Submasters (30-39), Masters(40-49), GrandMasters(50-59), Legends(60-69) and StillLookingGood(70 & over).  The 2026 Grand Prix will feature the 700 Club – Any member who scores over 700 points in the 2026 Grand Prix receives a commemorative award. The Cost to run in the RCGC Grand Prix is an RCGC Membership.  First Race in the Series is the Winter Wonderland Run on February 22, 2026. Winter Wonderland Run - this Sunday February 22

 This Sunday February 22, 2026 is the  RCGC Winter Wonderland Run. It will be a 5k Run/Walk around the paths and trails of Fernbank Park.

Race Number Pickup will open at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Shelter just inside the park. Registration is available at runsignup.com through February 22, 2026 until 11:59 am.

Volunteer Opportunities - Winter 2026

     Here are some upcoming opportunities where you can help out the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati. If you can help out with any of these events, we would greatly appreciate it:

•  Winter Wonderland Run - The Winter Wonderland Run needs another 5-10 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on February 22. It would take 1-2 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get a few other goodies. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know other club members. Let us know whether you can help by emailing us at cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or sign up at the online registration page. 
• Currently we have few openings for keeping the club running on an ongoing basis: Vice President, Social Media, and Social Chair. Most positions take 2-3 hours a month of your time. If you can or would like to fulfill one of these positions, please send an email to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or attend the next board meeting on March 9.

2025 RCGC Grand Prix Update

  Scores have been updated for the 2025 Grand Prix. Check your score to be sure that it is updated correctly.   Official results will be announced in March.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and top overall Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups based on official scoring:

Youngsters (Age 29 & Under), SubMasters (Age 30-39), Masters(Age 40-49), GrandMasters(Age 50-59), Legends(60-69), and StillLookingGood(70 & Over).

 Online registration is open for the 2026 Winter Wonderland Run which is Sunday, February 22, 2026.  Awards given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Runners. Also age group awards are given for the Top Male and Top Female in the following Age Groups: 18 & under,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
