Thank you 2025 Flying Pig Marathon Mile 22 Fluid Station Volunteers

The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati would like to thank the volunteers that helped out at the Club's Flying Pig Fluid Station at Mile 22 on May 4. Their contribution of  handing out water and Gatorade,  cheering, picking up trash and handling the rainy weather made the fluid station another rousing success. Their dedication and enthusiasm made a great impression on the participants.

A special thank you to Todd Hofacre for stepping up in an emergency and coordinating the fluid station for 2025. Join us at mile 22 for the 2026 Flying Pig Marathon.

2025 Wonderland Run Recap and Results

About 25 runners and walkers competed in the 2025 Winter Wonderland Run this past Sunday February 23 in sunny, but cold conditions at Fernbank Park on the (Far) West Side of Cincinnati(View photos).  The previous week flooding and freezing temperatures merited a course change due to ice and flooding in Fernbank Park.  Runners and walkers travailed a relatively flat almost 3 mile course along the Ohio River.  Jenny Kane of  Guilford IN was the top finisher and top female with a time of 23:10.  Top Male and second place over all was Eric Bender of  Montgomery OH who ran a 24:44.  (View Race Results ).

Thank you to our sponsors Fleet Feet Cincinnati for the awards, and 13 Below Brewery for use of their parking lot. Thank you to our race day volunteers Megan Fryburger, Liz Hofacre, Todd Hofacre, and Marty Hovey.  Their patience and flexibility helped  the club put on a successful race.  See you in 2026.
