The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati is part of the Piggest Raffle ever with the Flying Pig Marathon for 2014. Adopt a pig for $5 for a chance to to win a two year lease on a Toyota Prius and help the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati raise funds. Flying Pig Marathon Fluid Station Volunteers Wanted

The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati will have a fluid station at mile 22 for the 16th Annual Flying Pig Marathon. Mile 22 is where the marathon really begins for the runners and your support and encouragement means plenty to them. If you are running the marathon, please encourage your friends and family to help out. If you're not running, join us for a little fun and help us help the runners at mile 22. To volunteer at our waterstop:

1. Go to the Flying Pig Volunteer Registration Page.

3. Find and select Runners' Club of Cincinnati from the group list.
4. Complete volunteer information.

Club Update on HeartMiniMarathon Weekend

Here is what the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati has going on for the Heart Mini Marathon this weekend:

• For those that joined The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Heart Mini Team, you can pick up your stuff at the Heart Mini Expo this Saturday March 15. The expo opens at 9:00 AM. In years past, they had a pick-up for groups.  If they have a pick up for groups, go there, tell them your name and team(Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati) and there should not be a problem.  
• Every year, the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati gets a hospitality suite in the Westin  for members. We provide food, drinks, a place to stash your gear, and a view of Fountain Square - where all the action is on race day! It will be available around 7:00 AM on raceday. We generally find out the room number on late Saturday afternoon at check-in so check your email for the room number Saturday evening or contact us at cincinnatirunning@gmail.com.
  Note:Only current paid RCGC members plus one guest,  and nonmembers who signed up for the Runners' Club Heart Mini-Team have access to the rooms.

The 34th Annual Valentine’s Labor of Love 2 Mile Run has a  few shirts left over from Sunday's race.  They are white and long sleeve with a two color front and a one color back listing the race sponsors. 34th Annual Valentine’s Labor of Love 2 Mile Run Recap and Results

Start of the 2014 Labor of Love Run

About 150 runners and walkers participated in the 34th Annual Valentine's Labor of Love 2 Mile Run this past Sunday February 16th in cloudy, cold, wet and windy conditions. The course was wet but manageable.  Daryl Parks of Frankfort KY was the top overall finisher with a time of 10:44 followed by Eric Van Laningham of Burlington Kentucky who ran a 10:51. Julia Temple of Cincinnati OH was the top female with a time of 12:56 followed by Kamaria Walton who ran a 13:16. The top overall mixed couple were the Father Daughter duo of Landen and Collier Summay aka Team Summay with 13 points closely followed by the Father Daughter duo of William and Julia Temple who had 14 points. The top single male runner was Roger Middleton who ran a 10:55 and the top single female runner was Meredith Hiles who ran a 14:18. (Race Results ).

34th Annual Valentine's 2 Mile Labor of Love This Sunday February 16

This Sunday February 16 is the 34th Annual Valentine's Labor of Love 2 Mile Run. Please join us whether you have a valentine or not (If you don't have a valentine, we can help find you one in the Blind Date Category). This will be a lot of fun.
Plenty of awards, music, and food. Race starts at noon at NKU. Race Day Registration opens at 10:30 AM in Regents Hall. Cost is $25.00(Includes T-shirt while supplies last). Winter Wonderland 5k Run / Walk Cancelled for This Saturday February 8

After talking with Boone County parks on Thursday February 6, the trails are covered with snow and ice. Boone County Parks has closed the trail and will not allow us to hold the Winter Wonderland 5k race this Saturday, February 8th at 10:00am. The club will be calling all pre-registered race participants and posting notices on many sites, including emails to go out. We are very sorry for the inconvenience but it is out of the RCGC's hands at this point. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
