About 100 runners braved the hills, the fallen trees, the rocks this past Thursday August 9, 2012 for A Midsummer Night's Trail Run in Mount Airy Forest. Weather for the Thursday night trail run was overcast with the chance of thunderstorms. Fortunately the storms stayed to the south in Kentucky. Nobody got lost on the trail that I know about but we did have a few people fall. Mischa McCormick repeated as men's winner with a time of 32:58, and Olivia Connaughton was the top female with a time of 37:39 and was 5th Overall. Our Top Male Master runner was Greg McCormick who finished 4th overall with a time of 37:07 and the top master female was Linda Daigle with a time of 44:04.
