Celebrate Global Running Day in Cincinnati This Wednesday June 5

Every day is Running Day in the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati, but Wednesday June 5 is Global Running Day. Global Running Day is the opportunity to promote running as a healthy, easy, and accessible form of exercise. A couple of local running stores are hosting runs:

• Fleet Feet Cincinnati of Blue Ash is hosting their annual Big Run celebrating Global Running Day and all the local groups are eligible to participate. This year Fleet Feet will donate $1 to Girls on the Run Cincinnati chapter for every mile run or walked during the Big Run. With over 500 participants last year, they are anxious to make a big impact. Girls on the Run, the Flying Pig Marathon and Brooks Running will be there to help celebrate the day. • Jack Rabbit Sports in O'Bryonville kicks off the Global Running Day festivities at 6:00 pm with a 5K Run / Walk sponsored by New Balance, Nuun hydration, and Three Sons Running Co.  Visit their Facebook Event Page for more information.
