Friday August 2For those who love cross country, Northern Kentucky University has a Cross Country series on their training course on the NKU Campus beginning July 23. They will have 2 mile races on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm on Tuesday July 23, Tuesday July 30 and Tuesday August 6. This event is open to all ages and experience levels and a great way to introduce the sport to middle school/high school or just plain old school runners. The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or races that support the club. About 50 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race. Next races in the Grand Prix are the Hyde Park Blast, Madeira Mile, and Beechmont Bolt. Saturday June 1105 runners and walkers came out on Monday May 27 to Lunken Playfield in Cincinnati Ohio for Cincinnati's second oldest race. Race conditions were sunny and warm and the course a little wet in some parts due to the previous evening's rain.
Larremy Gray was the top male to cross the finish line with a time of 18:02 followed by Matthew Hils who ran an 18:39. Ben Slater was third with a time of 20:07. The top female finisher was Mimi Brooks who ran an 18:50. Natalie Leverone was the second female with a time of 19:14 and Mollie Karqwisch was third who ran a 21:05. Roger Nunlist was the top male walker with a time of 40:26 and Leah Weitzman was the top female walker with a time of 36:23 (View Race Results)
This Monday May 27 is the Memorial Day Race, Cincinnati's second oldest race behind the Thanksgiving Day Race. Race Day Registration opens at 8:00 AM at the Spirit of '76 Shelter as you enter the park. Race Day Cost is $20.00 General Public, and $15 for those Age 21 and Under / RCGC Members. Memorial Day Race Shirts are available for $15. Race starts at 9:00 AM at Lunken Playfield. See you there!

Here are the 2023 RCGC Grand Prix Winners. The goal of the Grand Prix was to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or supports us. About 50 club members participated in at least one Grand Prix Race for 2023.
Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, Top Male and Female in the Youngster Category(29 & Under) Submasters Category(30 -39), Masters(40-49), GrandMaster(50-59) Legends(60-69) Categories and Still Looking Good(70 and over). For 2023, Scoring was based on any best 7 races(either A or B), and two B Races. Below is a list of the award winners for the 2023 Grand Prix. Special awards are given to those who score over 700 points in the Grand Prix and known as the 700 Club. They will be recognized at a future Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Event. Congratulations to everyone that participated.The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati will have a fluid station at mile 22 for the 2024 Flying Pig Marathon. Mile 22 is where the marathon really begins for the runners and your support and encouragement means plenty to them. If you are running the marathon, please encourage your friends and family to help out. Saturday April 6It is about 10 days to go until St. Patrick's Day! For the next couple of weekends, there are a few races around Greater Cincinnati to help you celebrate. Race Listings are below:
36 runners and walkers participated in the 2024 Leap Day Race this past Thursday evening in sunny but cool conditions for a February evening. Scott Bihl of Cincinnati OH was the top overall finisher and male runner with a time of 15:05. Daniel O'Connor was second in 16:00, followed by William Phillips in 16:09 and Keith Neundorfer in 16:34. Martha Whitaker of Lexington KY was the top female finisher with a time of 17:05. Ann Seeger was the second female finisher in 22:39 followed by Debbie Biddle in 23:06 and Jean Schmidt was fourth running a time of 24:20. (View Race Results ).

Awards will be given to the top overall Male and top overall Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups based on official scoring:
Youngsters (Age 29 & Under), SubMasters (Age 30-39), Masters(Age 40-49), GrandMasters(Age 50-59), Legends(60-69), and StillLookingGood(70 & Over).2024 is a Leap Year so another day in the year and another race in the year - the RCGC Leap Day Race. It will be a 4k Run / Walk on the Lunken Bike Trail.
Cost is $16.00 for RCGC Members / 21 & Under ; $20.00 for the General Public through February 28,2024. Group Discount is available(Online Only). T shirts are available for $8.00. Visit the registration page for more information.47 runners and walkers competed in the 2024 Winter Wonderland Run this past Sunday February 24 in sunny, but cold conditions at Fernbank Park on the (Far) West Side of Cincinnati(View photos). Runners and walkers travailed a relatively flat 5k course that included wood, concrete, cobblestone asphalt, grass and dirt. Caitlin Bowen of Cincinnati OH was the top finisher and top female with a time of 21:37. The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati Grand Prix Series returns for 2024! The RCGC Grand Prix includes and recognizes many of the races that the club and it members direct, support, started, or helped start. It includes several popular and unique races in Cincinnati that the club and its members have supported over the years.
For 2024, 9 races be scored which includes at least two B Races plus 7 other races. Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups - Youngsters(29&Under), Submasters (30-39), Masters(40-49), GrandMasters(50-59), Legends(60-69) and StillLookingGood(70 & over). The 2024 Grand Prix will feature the popular 700 Club – Any member who scores over 700 points in the 2024 Grand Prix receives a commemorative award. The Cost to run in the RCGC Grand Prix is an RCGC Membership. First Race in the Series is the Winter Wonderland Run on February 12,2024.
