Daylight Saving Time Begins this Weekend

As you probably know, Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday March 9. Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour this weekend so you do not miss either the club's group run on Sunday at 8:15 AM or the RCGC Board Meeting at Graeter's in Ft. Thomas at 10:00AM. About Daylight Saving Time.

The 34th Annual Valentine’s Labor of Love 2 Mile Run has a  few shirts left over from Sunday's race.  They are white and long sleeve with a two color front and a one color back listing the race sponsors. We have Small, Medium, Large, XL and even XXL. 34th Annual Valentine’s Labor of Love 2 Mile Run Recap and Results

Start of the 2014 Labor of Love Run

About 150 runners and walkers participated in the 34th Annual Valentine's Labor of Love 2 Mile Run this past Sunday February 16th in cloudy, cold, wet and windy conditions. The course was wet but manageable.  Daryl Parks of Frankfort KY was the top overall finisher with a time of 10:44 followed by Eric Van Laningham of Burlington Kentucky who ran a 10:51. Julia Temple of Cincinnati OH was the top female with a time of 12:56 followed by Kamaria Walton who ran a 13:16. The top overall mixed couple were the Father Daughter duo of Landen and Collier Summay aka Team Summay with 13 points closely followed by the Father Daughter duo of William and Julia Temple who had 14 points. The top single male runner was Roger Middleton who ran a 10:55 and the top single female runner was Meredith Hiles who ran a 14:18. (Race Results ).

34th Annual Valentine's 2 Mile Labor of Love This Sunday February 16

This Sunday February 16 is the 34th Annual Valentine's Labor of Love 2 Mile Run. Please join us whether you have a valentine or not (If you don't have a valentine, we can help find you one in the Blind Date Category). This will be a lot of fun.
Plenty of awards, music, and food. Race starts at noon at NKU. Race Day Registration opens at 10:30 AM in Regents Hall. Cost is $25.00(Includes T-shirt while supplies last). Winter Wonderland 5k Run / Walk Cancelled for This Saturday February 8

After talking with Boone County parks on Thursday February 6, the trails are covered with snow and ice. Boone County Parks has closed the trail and will not allow us to hold the Winter Wonderland 5k race this Saturday, February 8th at 10:00am. The club will be calling all pre-registered race participants and posting notices on many sites, including emails to go out. We are very sorry for the inconvenience but it is out of the RCGC's hands at this point. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

Winter Wonderland 5k Run / Walk - this Saturday February 8

Join the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati at the Winter Wonderland 5k Run / Walk this Saturday, February 8th at 10:00 a.m. at England / Idlewild Park in Burlington KY. The top 25 males and top 25 females to cross the finish line will receive a 16oz commemorative glass mug! Race Day Registration opens at 8:30 AM at the shelter #1 which is on the left as you come in the park. Race starts at 10:00 AM. See you there! Winter Wonderland 5k POSTPONED - RESCHEDULED for February 8

The club contacted Boone County Parks Friday afternon and they stated that  the trails are completely covered with more snow coming.  They are closing the trail and will not allow the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati to hold the Winter Wonderland 5k race on Saturday January 25th.
We will be rescheduling the race for Saturday, February 8th at 10:00am. All pre-registered race participants will be contacted Friday afternoon and we will be posting notices on many sites. We are sorry for the inconvenience but it really is out if RCGC's hands at this point. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Winter Wonderland 5k Early Registration Ends Today

Join the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Heart Mini Team

The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati has a team participating at the 37th Annual Heart Mini-Marathon. For joining the team, you get access to the club's Heart Mini Suite where you can put your stuff and no need to share bathrooms with 20,000 participants. You can sign up to be part of the team at this year's (March 15th - March 16th) run/walk events by identifying yourself as part of Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati while registering. You can also join from our team page.  If filling out a paper form indicate Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati  as your team.  If the RCGC Heart Mini Team has at least 25 members and raises $2500 by February 8, the Runners' Club logo can appear on the back of the t-shirts.  Cost of the HeartMini Marathon is $40 and $55 for the Heart Half Marathon through March 3 and  $45 for the HeartMini Marathon and $60 for the Heart Half after March 3. The 15k and Half Marathon begin at 7:30 AM this year and the 5k begins at a later time.
