2020 Winter Wonderland Run Early Registration Ends Soon

Early registration ends soon for the 2020 Winter Wonderland Run. Online Registration is available through Thursday January 23. Cost is $15 - General Public and $10 - RCGC Members. Register Now before the price goes up.   • PLACE: Fernbank Park, Cincinnati OH.

  • COURSE: 5k Course along the paths and trails of Fernbank Park. Be prepared to run on concrete, wood, asphalt, cobblestone, grass, dirt, gravel and possibly mud, and snow.  No strollers allowed on the course due to terrain.

Volunteer Opportunities - Winter 2020

Here are some upcoming opportunities where you can help out the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati. If you can help out with any of these events, we would greatly appreciate it:

  •  Winter Wonderland Run - The Winter Wonderland Run needs 10-15 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on January 26. It would take 1-2 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get a few other goodies. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know other club members. Let us know whether you can help by emailing us at cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or sign up at the online registration page. 
  • Leap Day Race - The Leap Day Race Trot needs 10-15 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on Saturday February 29. It would take 2-3 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get the Leap Day Race Shirt for helping out. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know other club members. Let us know whether you can help by signing up at the online registration page. 
  • Ongoing Openings - Currently we have few openings for keeping the club running on an ongoing basis: Social Chair, and Program Chair. Most positions take 2-3 hours a month of your time. If you can or would like to fulfill one of these positions, please send an email to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or attend the next board meeting on February 10.

Online Registration Open For 2020 RCGC Leap Day Race

2020 is a Leap Year so it is time for the RCGC Leap Day Race - a tradition that began in 2004. It will be a 4k Run / Walk on the Lunken Bike Trail.
Registration is now open.
Cost is $12.00 for RCGC Members / 21 & Under ; $16.00 for the General Public through February 26,2020. Group Discount is available(Online Only). Visit  the registration page for more information.

  • TIME: 2:29 PM.
  • PLACE: Lunken Playfield, Cincinnati OH
  • PRE-REGISTRATION: $16.00 – General Public, $12.00 RCGC Members / 21 & Under. T-shirt: $8.00. Online registration available through Wednesday February 26, 2020.  Group Pricing Available - Need to register online to qualify. 
  • RACE DAY REGISTRATION: $20.00 – General Public. $16.00 - RCGC Members / 21 & Under. T-shirt: $10.00. No group discounts on race day. Opens 1:30 PM at the Spirit of '76 Shelter at Lunken Playfield.
  • COURSE: 4k out and back course on the Lunken Bike Trail. 
  • AWARDS: Overall awards given to the Top 4 Male Runners, Top 4 Female Runners, Top 4 Male Walkers and Top 4 Female Walkers. Awards given to the top male and female runner in the following age groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60&over.

2020 Winter Wonderland Run - January 26

Join the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati at our annual winter 5k run / walk at Fernbank Park on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Fernbank Park is located along the Ohio River off US Route 50 in the Cincinnati community of Sayler Park.
The race starts at 1:00 PM, with race day registration beginning at noon at the Riverview Shelter inside the Park. Preregistration is $10.00 for RCGC members / 23 & Under and $15.00 for the general public. Register online at www.runsignup.com through January 17.
Race day registration will be $15.00 for Club members / 23 & Under and $20.00 for general public.
Awards will go to the top three overall male runners and top 3 overall female runners, top male and female walker, and top male and female runners in the following age groups: 18 & Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ . RCGC Grand Prix Update - December 2019

Scores have been updated for the 2019 Grand Prix through the Straight Street Climb using official scoring.  Official Scoring is your best 7 races plus your next best B Race, and a C Race.  About 60 club members have participated in one Grand Prix Race.  Final race in the series is the Egg Nog Jog on Saturday December 21.   Visit the RCGC Grand Prix page for more information about the Grand Prix. Online registration is open for the 2020 Winter Wonderland Run which is January 26,2020.  Awards given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Runners. Also age group awards are given for the Top Male and Top Female in the following Age Groups: 18 & Under,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.

2019 RCGC Holiday In Lights Run Tonight at 6:30 pm

We will meet at The Gruff in Covington KY tonight December 9 at 6:30 pm. Run is open to the public!  We plan on taking a group photo before we run. Ault Park Mile Shirts Available For Purchase

The Ault Park Mile has a  few shirts left over from Sunday's race.  They are short sleeve and orange  with a pocket design on front and a one color back listing the race sponsors. We have sizes for Youth Medium,  Youth Large, Small, Medium Large,  and XL. Cost is $8.00 which includes shipping. If you would like a shirt, you can get them over at the Online Registration for the Ault Park Mile .  They will be available for purchase through December 17. Ault Park Mile Recap and Results

About 14 runners participated in the Ault Park Mile this past Sunday November 17,2019 at Ault Park in Hyde Park OH.  Conditions for the race were cold, sunny and slightly windy for a November race. The mile course was 1.5 times around the Ault Park Circle starting out with a short downhill descent followed by a long uphill climb. After the uphill climb, runners had a long downhill descent followed by a short uphill climb into the finish. Overall elevation of the course was a slight uphill.
Top finisher was Seth Streitmatter of Cincinnati  with a time of 6:01.7. He was followed by Rich Webber who ran a 6:10.1. Jerry Medina was third overall male and fourth overall in 6:29.4.  Top female was Diana Filtz of Cincinnati OH who was third overall and ran a 6:24.4. She was followed by Monica Holmback who ran a 8:25.2 and Susan Conti who ran a 8:52.5.   (View results).
