2023 Sue Harder 5k - October 1

 Sue Harder passed away suddenly at the young age of 58 in January 2021. She was a beloved member of the Fleet Feet Running Club. She was a very active runner who ran three marathons and countless half marathons. Her latest half marathon was just a few months before her passing. She was supportive of all new runners and was a friend and cheerleader to all her fellow runners. 

The 2023 Sue Harder Memorial 5K is to be the third annual memorial run for Sue. The run will commemorate Sue by welcoming new friends and old for a 5K in her hometown in Cincinnati as well as virtually across the country. Proceeds will be donated to Girls on the Run. Visit the registration page  or run4sue.org for more information.

RCGC Grand Prix Update - Summer 2023

  The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati is doing a Grand Prix Series in 2023. The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or races that support the club. So far about 40 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race.  Next races in the series are the Aruna Run on September 4,  and the Hudy 14k Brewery Run on September 16.  Below are the top ten males and females through the Fairfield Avenue Mile using offical scoring. NKU Summer Cross Country Series Starts July 25

  For those who love cross country, Northern Kentucky University has a Cross Country series on their training course on the NKU Campus beginning August 2. They will have 2 mile races on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm on Tuesday July 25, Tuesday August 2 and Tuesday August 9. This event is open to all ages and experience levels and a great way to introduce the sport to middle school/high school or just plain old school runners. 2023 Memorial Day Race Shirts Available for Purchase

 

The 2023 Memorial Day Race  has a few shirts left over from the race on Monday.  They are blue technical shirts with the dogtag logo on front and a design on the back. We have Medium, Large, XL and a couple 2XL. If you would like a shirt from the race, you can get them over at the  Memorial Day Race Online Registration for the price of 12.00 (include 3.00 shipping & handling).   They will be available for purchase through June 30. Order soon before the deadline or we run out of the size that you want.

Memorial Day Race 47 Recap and Results

 99 runners and walkers came out on Monday May 29 to Lunken Playfield in Cincinnati Ohio for Cincinnati's second oldest race.  Race conditions were sunny and warm and the course was dry and fast.  

    Nick Meiners of  Cincinnati OH was the top male with a time of 16:46.  Larremy Gray was the second male to cross the finish line with a time of 17:58 and  Matthew Hils was the third male who ran a 18:14.  The top female finisher was Kayla Hess who ran a 21:30. Eleanor Schutte was the second female with a time of 22:15 and Annette Molina was third who ran a 22:31.  Roger Nunlist was the top male walker with a time of 38:49 and Leah Weitzman was the top female walker with a time of  35:57 (View Race Results)
