Angela Bizzari wins NCAA Cross Country Title
Illinois Runner Angela Bizzari, who ran high school cross country and track at Mason High School, won the Individual Women's NCAA Division I Cross Country Title in Terre Haute on Monday. Her time was 19:46.8. Angela won the NCAA 5000 meters track this past spring.

Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis® - December 5
The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis® is a fun and festive way to kick off your holidays by helping others! Wear a holiday themed costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Run or walk a 5 kilometer route with your friends and celebrate the season by giving.

Straight Street Climb this Sunday November 22
In the club's email, I received some information about the Straight Street Climb from a club member:
It's that time of year again. The annual pre-Thanksgiving Day run up Straight Street will return on Sunday morning November 22.
The race will begin at 9 a.m.
Registration will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. at the top of the hill. Forms can be found here.
Entry Fee is $10 and all proceeds benefit the Cincinnati Soap Box Derby.
Awards for top three finishers in 5 running divisions: Youth (ages 12 and under); Teen (ages 13 thru 17); Men's Open; Women's Open; and Masters (ages 50+).

Group Run at Paul Brown Stadium this Sunday
For the next two Sundays, the Sunday Group Run will travel to Paul Brown Stadium to get ready for the 100th Annual Thanksgiving Day Race. This Sunday, we will run the 100th Annual Thanksgiving Day Race Course. It will be 6.2 miles. If you need a 12.5 mile route, you can run the course backwards so you know it backward and forward. See you there.

St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine is co-sponsoring with Bob Roncker's Running Spot a free injury clinic for runners. These will be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at their Edgewood, KY location beginning this Thursday November 12. If you are having problems and would like to be seen by one of their clinicians you can go to the www.runningspot.com and visit the appointment scheduler to sign up.

Local History Teacher Running Selma Route This Sunday
This Sunday, Harvey Lewis, a local history teacher and a regular participant at many of our races, will be running the 54-mile Selma Civil Rights March in a single day. He will be running from Selma to Montgomery and interviewing Civil Rights leaders who participated in the march. The run will be made into a documentary by Focus Media Studios and you can follow him live this Sunday on twitter.

Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships - this Saturday November 7
The 81st Boys and 32nd Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships will be held at the Scioto Downs Racetrack this Saturday, November 7th.
There are a couple of local Cincinnati runners vying for the top spots in state and a couple of teams vying for a state title.
