 The 2026 Memorial Day Race has a few shirts left over from the race on Monday.  They are white technical shirts with the club logo on front and a design on the back. Sizes Available include Small, XL and 2XL. Memorial Day Race 50 Recap and Results

 

175 runners and walkers came out this past Monday May 25 at Otto Armleder Park in Cincinnati Ohio for Memorial Day Race 50.(View Photos).  Race conditions were overcast with some humidity. 

     Jimmy Chisholm was the top male to cross the finish line with a time and male course record of 15:54.  Brooke Wildermuth was top female and second overall with a female course record time of 16:20.   Second male and third overall was Jack Randall who ran a 16:20 and third male was Vedant Pingle with 16:57. Second Female was Sam Mikula with a time of 17:55 and third female was Anneken Villjoen with 17:59. (View Race Results).

Memorial Day Race 50 This Monday May 25

   This Monday May 25 is the Memorial Day Race, Cincinnati's second oldest race behind the Thanksgiving Day Race. Race Day Registration opens at 8:00 AM at the Little Miami Shelter at Otto Armleder Park as you enter the park. Race Day Cost is $25.00 General Public, and $20 for those Age 21 and Under / RCGC Members.    Memorial Day Race Shirts are $15. Race starts at 9:00 AM. See you there!

Thank You 2026 Flying Pig Marathon Fluid Station 21 Volunteers

 

The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati would like to thank the volunteers that helped out at the Club's Flying Pig Fluid Station at Mile 22 on May 3. Their contribution of handing out water and Gatorade, cheering, picking up trash made the fluid station a rousing success. Their dedication and enthusiasm made a great impression on the participants.

A special thank you to Todd Hofacre for stepping up in an emergency and coordinating the fluid station for 2026.  Thank you to Western Brown Cross Country Coach Chad Sexton, the Western Brown Cross Country Team and Parents. Join us at our Fluid Station for the 2027 Flying Pig Marathon.

RCGC Grand Prix Spring 2026 Update

 The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati is doing a Grand Prix Series in 2026. The goal of the Grand Prix is to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or races that support the club. So far six races have been run and about 20 club members have participated in at least one Grand Prix Race.  Next races in the Grand Prix are the Flying Pig Events this weekend.  Below are the top five males and females through the Dogwood Dash. 2025 RCGC Grand Prix Winners

   Here are the 2025 RCGC Grand Prix Winners.  The goal of the Grand Prix was to include and recognize members that do many of the races that the club puts on, supports or supports us.  About 45 club members participated in at least one Grand Prix Race for 2025.

  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, Top Male and Female in the Youngster Category(29 & Under) Submasters Category(30 -39), Masters(40-49), GrandMaster(50-59) Legends(60-69) Categories and Still Looking Good(70 and over). For 2025, Scoring was based on any best 7  races(either A or B),  and two B Races. Below is a list of the award winners for the 2025 Grand Prix.  Special  awards are given to those who score over 700 points in the Grand Prix and known as the 700 Club. They will be recognized at a future Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Event.   Congratulations to everyone that participated.

2026 Flying Pig Fluid Station Volunteers Wanted

 The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati will have a fluid station at mile 21 for the 2026 Flying Pig Marathon. Mile 21 is where the marathon really begins for the runners and your support and encouragement means plenty to them. If you are running the marathon, please encourage your friends and family to help out. If you're not running, join us for a little fun and help us help the runners at mile 22.

2026 Winter Wonderland Run Recap And Results

About 50 runners and walkers competed in the 2026 Winter Wonderland Run this past Sunday February 22 in cold, windy conditions with a snow shower at Fernbank Park on the (Far) West Side of Cincinnati(View photos). Runners and walkers travailed a  relatively flat 5k course that included wood, concrete, cobblestone, asphalt, grass and dirt.  Matthew Garey of  Independence KY was the top finisher  and top male with a time of 22:30 followed by Christopher Wickey who ran a 22:57. Joseph Cryan was third in 22:58.  Top Female was Tiara Wright of  Dayton OH who ran a 29:40. Paula Breem-Heeger was the second female with time of 31:01 and Rebecca Hubbard was third running a 32:11. RCGC Grand Prix Returns for 2026

 The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati Grand Prix Series returns for 2026! The RCGC Grand Prix includes and recognizes many of the races that the club and it members direct, support, started, or helped start. It includes several popular and unique races in Cincinnati that the club and its members have supported over the years.

For 2026, 9 races will be scored which includes your top 7 races and plus two B Races.  Awards will be given to the top overall Male and Female, and Top Male and Female in the Following Age Groups -  Youngsters(29&Under), Submasters (30-39), Masters(40-49), GrandMasters(50-59), Legends(60-69) and StillLookingGood(70 & over).  The 2026 Grand Prix will feature the 700 Club – Any member who scores over 700 points in the 2026 Grand Prix receives a commemorative award. The Cost to run in the RCGC Grand Prix is an RCGC Membership.  First Race in the Series is the Winter Wonderland Run on February 22, 2026. Winter Wonderland Run - this Sunday February 22

 This Sunday February 22, 2026 is the  RCGC Winter Wonderland Run. It will be a 5k Run/Walk around the paths and trails of Fernbank Park.

Race Number Pickup will open at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Shelter just inside the park. Registration is available at runsignup.com through February 22, 2026 until 11:59 am.

Volunteer Opportunities - Winter 2026

     Here are some upcoming opportunities where you can help out the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati. If you can help out with any of these events, we would greatly appreciate it:

•  Winter Wonderland Run - The Winter Wonderland Run needs another 5-10 volunteers to help with registration, timing, and post race on February 22. It would take 1-2 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get a few other goodies. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know other club members. Let us know whether you can help by emailing us at cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or sign up at the online registration page. 
• Currently we have few openings for keeping the club running on an ongoing basis: Vice President, Social Media, and Social Chair. Most positions take 2-3 hours a month of your time. If you can or would like to fulfill one of these positions, please send an email to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or attend the next board meeting on March 9.

2025 RCGC Grand Prix Update

Online Registration Open For 2026 Winter Wonderland Run

 Online registration is open for the 2026 Winter Wonderland Run which is Sunday, February 22, 2026.  Awards given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Runners. Also age group awards are given for the Top Male and Top Female in the following Age Groups: 18 & under,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.

 Online registration available at runsignup.com through February 22, 2026 until 11:59 am.

RACE DETAILS

• DATE: Sunday, February 22,2026
• TIME: 12:05 PM. 
• PLACE: Fernbank Park, Cincinnati OH. 
• EARLY REGISTRATION: $17- General Public and $12 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under. Register online at www.cincinnatirunning.com. Ends Friday, February 20, 2026. 
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Available at runsignup.com through February 22,2026 until 11:59 Am. $22 - General Public & 17 - RCGC Members / 23 & Under
• RACE NUMBER PICKUP: Race Numbers can be picked up on Race Day at the Riverview Shelter inside Fernbank Park beginning at noon. 
• COURSE: 5k Course along the paths and trails of Fernbank Park. Be prepared to run on concrete, wood, asphalt, cobblestone, grass, dirt, gravel and possibly mud, and snow.  No strollers allowed on the course due to terrain.
