Run Like Hell Retires After 26 Years

Got in an email:
After 26 years, Run Like Hell Retires.
It is with great sadness that the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announces the retirement of Run Like Hell. For the past 26 years, this 5k race brought together the Cincinnati community to run, eat, drink, and fight cystic fibrosis.
Since its inception in 1991, Run Like Hell has raised over $1.6 million to go towards the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives.
However, as the race grew throughout the years, so did the costs of putting on a 5k. In the end, the chapter made the tough decision of putting the race into retirement due to the increasing expense ratio.
While Run Like Hell has a longstanding tradition, the top priority for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is keeping sight of what really matters; and that is our families. The Greater Cincinnati Chapter will continue to focus on other special events to raise money to put back into advance research and high-quality CF care.
We want to thank all of the dedicated volunteers, team leaders, runners, in-kind donors, and sponsors for their unwaivering support throughout the years.
We hope that you will continue to stay on this journey to end cystic fibrosis with us through one of the events listed below or through different programs such as the ones listed here.

Sincerely,
Your Greater Cincinnati & Dayton Chapter
