Ault Park Mile Shirts Available For Purchase
The Ault Park Mile has a few shirts left over from Sunday's race. They are short sleeve and orange with a pocket design on front and a one color back listing the race sponsors. We have sizes for Youth Medium, Youth Large, Small, Medium Large, and XL. Cost is $8.00 which includes shipping. If you would like a shirt, you can get them over at the Online Registration for the Ault Park Mile . They will be available for purchase through December 17. Ault Park Mile Recap and Results
About 14 runners participated in the Ault Park Mile this past Sunday November 17,2019 at Ault Park in Hyde Park OH. Conditions for the race were cold, sunny and slightly windy for a November race. The mile course was 1.5 times around the Ault Park Circle starting out with a short downhill descent followed by a long uphill climb. After the uphill climb, runners had a long downhill descent followed by a short uphill climb into the finish. Overall elevation of the course was a slight uphill.
Top finisher was Seth Streitmatter of Cincinnati with a time of 6:01.7. He was followed by Rich Webber who ran a 6:10.1. Jerry Medina was third overall male and fourth overall in 6:29.4. Top female was Diana Filtz of Cincinnati OH who was third overall and ran a 6:24.4. She was followed by Monica Holmback who ran a 8:25.2 and Susan Conti who ran a 8:52.5. (View results).

2019 Halloween Races in Greater Cincinnati
Any kid knows that October 31 is Halloween which means food and dressing up in costume. If you can not wait that long, there are few Halloween themed races throughout the month of October to get you in the Halloween spirit. Here are a few of them, check the club calendar for a few more.
- Running Scared 5k, Saturday October 12, 6:00 PM, Veteran's Memorial Stadium, 1600 West Street, Reading OH - A flat 3.1 mile course through a “spooky” cemetery, ending at a fabulous Halloween Fest! Participants are encouraged to run/walk in costumes. After the race, people are admitted to the post race party where they can listen to a hot band or have a cold beer. They can enjoy food and drinks from generous sponsors and listen to the live jammin’ band while they stay toasty warm inside or gather around the roaring fire outside. Come dressed as your favorite animal, celebrity, or favorite whatever for a four-mile hustle through the fall foliage along the Ohio River. After the race, enjoy a spooktacular celebration. The Runners’ Club of Greater Cincinnati is doing a Grand Prix Series in 2019. The Grand Prix includes many of the races that the club puts on or supports or races that support the club. Scores have been updated through the Aruna Run using official scoring. Official Scoring is your best 7 races plus your next best B Race, and a C Race. About 60 club members have participated in one Grand Prix Race. Next races in the series are the Brewery Run 14k and 7k, Run for the Bottoms 10k and 5k and the Bean Bash Dash. The 14th Annual RRCA Run@Work Day and 8th Run@School Day presented by the RRCA is Friday September 20. Companies,businesses, running clubs, fitness centers, schools and other groups across the country are participating with planned fun runs and walks to get people moving.
The Run@Work Day and Run@School Day goal is to encourage adults and children to get 30-minutes of exercise each day, in accordance with the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Create an event at your work place with your co-workers or find an event to get moving. Get a planning kit, fact sheet, and posters on the RRCA website to help get you started!

2019 RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Race #3 - The Last One
The 52nd Annual Summer RCGC Cross Country Series held its third and final race of 2018 at Valley View Nature Preserve, near Pattison Elementary in Milford this past Thursday July 25. About 5 runners showed up to race in perfect conditions for a Summer Thursday Night. The course was a bit hard due to little or no rain over the past week.
Top male was the barefooted Seth Streitmatter of Cincinnati OH. Seth covered the 2 loop 3.1 mile brass knuckle course in 19:16. Top female was Megan Fryburger who ran a 33:35.
Thank you to Todd Hofacre, and Rich Webber for timing, course set-up and course teardown. Thank you to all who came out and see you in 2020.

RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Race #2 Recap - There Will Be Mud
The 52nd Annual Summer RCGC Cross Country Series held its 2nd race at the Valley View Nature Preserve, near Pattison Elementary in Milford this past Thursday July 18. About 5 runners and about a 100 bugs showed up to race in hot and humid conditions. The course was wet and muddy in parts due to the thunder shower late Thursday afternoon.

NKU Cross Country Series Starts July 23
For those who love cross country, live in Kentucky, but are afraid to venture across the Ohio River, Northern Kentucky University has a Cross Country series on their training course on the NKU Campus beginning July 23. They will have three 2 mile races on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm beginning Tuesday July 23 and ending August 6th with the Brian Rohne Championship Race. This event is open to all ages and experience levels and a great way to introduce the sport to middle school/high school or just plain old school runners. 2019 RCGC Summer Cross Country Series Race #1 Recap - There Will Be Bugs
The 52nd Annual Summer RCGC Cross Country Series held its 1st race at the Valley View Nature Preserve, near Pattison Elementary in Milford this past Thursday July 11. About 5 runners and 200 bugs showed up to race in hot and humid conditions. The course was hard from the lack of rain from the past couple of weeks. The runners were motivated to run faster than the bugs who dropped out after the first tenth of a mile.
Top male was Greg Homan of Coldwater OH covered the 2 loop 3.1 mile brass knuckle course in 24:45. The top female was his daughter Palin Homan who ran a time of 28:02. Greg & Palin's goal is to run a 5k race in every single county in Ohio. They were at the Series in Milford to race in Clermont County which is the 32nd County in Ohio where they have raced a 5k.

Greg & Palin's goal is to run a 5k race in every single county in Ohio. They were at the Series in Milford to race in Clermont County which is the 32nd County in Ohio where they have raced a 5k.

Valley View Nature Preserve is located behind Pattison Elementary School in Milford and parking is available at Pattinson Elementary.

- DATE: begins Thursday July 11, 2019 and continues to Thursday July 25
- TIME: 7:00 PM
- PLACE: Valley View Nature Preserve, Milford OH next to Pattison Elementary
- COURSE: 2 laps on the 1.5 Mile Course for a total of 3.1 miles. View the loop.
