The 45th Annual Summer RCGC Cross Country Series held its third race
at the Valley View Nature Preserve, near Pattison Elementary in Milford
this past Thursday June 28. Mike Smith returned from parts unknown to handle the race directing duties for race #3 and for the rest of the series through July. About 25 runners showed up to race in
weather that was hotter than the previous week with temperatures
around 95 degrees and humidity at 51%. The additional heat slowed times down this week.
Misha McCormick was the top male
finisher with a time of 19:04. In second place was Matthew Jordan, who
ran a 19:44. Rounding out the top three males was Mike Emerson, with
a time of 20:03. The top female was Kamaria Walton who
ran a time of 21:13 followed by Rosalina Mayer-Naage.
